This Privacy Policy explains how AS MUSIC, a Discord music bot, handles information when you use the bot or interact with its commands and features.
1. Information We Process
When you use AS MUSIC, Discord may provide the bot with information required for normal Discord functionality, including:
- Discord user ID and username associated with an interaction.
- Discord server (guild) ID.
- Voice channel information required to join and control music playback.
- Text channel information required to send or update the music panel.
- Commands, button interactions, and search queries sent to the bot.
AS MUSIC does not intentionally request or store private Discord messages, passwords, payment information, or other unrelated personal information.
2. Temporary In-Memory Data
AS MUSIC temporarily keeps certain information in server memory while it is running.
This may include music player state, queues, playback settings, panel message and channel references, and temporary search results.
These temporary values are not stored in a permanent database by the current version of AS MUSIC and are generally removed when the bot process restarts.
3. Favorites
The Favorite feature temporarily stores track identifiers in memory for the relevant Discord server while the bot is running.
Favorites are not currently persisted to a permanent database.
4. Third-Party Services
AS MUSIC interacts with third-party services to provide music-related functionality.
Depending on the command and URL used, information such as search queries, track names, or public media URLs may be processed through these services.
- Discord: Used to provide the bot platform and receive user interactions.
- Lavalink: Used for music player and audio streaming functionality.
- SoundCloud: Used as the primary music search/source platform.
- Spotify: Used for metadata when Spotify credentials and Spotify URLs are used.
- YouTube: Used for public video and playlist metadata when YouTube URLs are used.
These third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms. AS MUSIC does not control how those services independently process information.
5. Search and Music URLs
If you use /play or
/search, the bot processes the
query you provide to find music.
Public URLs from supported platforms may also be processed to identify tracks or metadata.
Search results are temporarily cached in memory to allow you to select a result. The current implementation automatically removes these cached search results after a short period.
6. Data Retention
AS MUSIC does not currently maintain a permanent user database.
Temporary runtime information is retained only as long as necessary for the bot's current operation and is normally lost when the bot restarts.
7. Data Security
Reasonable measures are used to avoid unnecessary collection and permanent storage of user information.
However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
AS MUSIC is a Discord application and does not intentionally collect personal information from children.
Users should comply with Discord's age requirements and applicable laws when using Discord and its applications.
9. Your Choices and Data Requests
If you have a question about information handled by AS MUSIC, or if you believe information associated with you needs to be removed, you may contact the bot owner through the Discord account or server where AS MUSIC is provided.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if AS MUSIC's functionality, data handling, or third-party integrations change.
